The SFASA Data Detectives Competition is organized by the SFASA Student Council and invites students to uncover insights from real-world health and biomedical data using statistical analysis and critical thinking. Top projects will be showcased and awarded at the ASA Annual Event at San José State University in Jan 2026. This competition has received generous funding from the American Statistical Association-Strategic Initiatives Grant (ASA-SIG), SFASA and Bay Area Biotech-Pharma Statistics Workshop (BBSW).
The competition is free but requires pre-registration (link) by Nov 1, 2025.
