Severn Streak was the National High-Point 4th Place Section A Colt. He was Reserve Grand Champion at the Maryland State Fair.
Severn Tiffany was the National High-Point 4th Place Section A filly.
Severn Chantilly Lace was the National High-Point 3rd Place Section A Filly. She was twice Reserve Grand Champion at the PC#1 and PC#4 shows.
Special congratulations are due to Severn Kiev, owned by Angelique Lucaks, who was the National High-Point Champion Section A 3+ Gelding as well as Supreme Champion Welsh Gelding at the 2025 American National Show.

Severn Streak was National Champion Section A Colt. He ended the year winning Reserve Supreme Champion at the PC #8 Show.
Severn Tiffany was fifth place Section A filly nationally. She was first place Section A filly at the Maryland State Fair.
Lochinvar Vaquero was National Reserve Champion Section A Colt. He was Champion Colt at the Maryland Pony Breeders Midsummer Madness Show.
Severn Glitter 'n Gleam was third place Section A Mare nationally despite limitations on her showing with a foal at foot. She was Reserve Grand Champion Section A at the Penn-Marydel Show and was Champion Section A Mare at the Maryland Pony Breeders Annual Show.
Copper Beech Irish Lace, the newest addition to our broodmare herd, was awarded her Dam Legion of Merit! Her first three offspring, Copper Beech Danny Boy, Copper Beech Ramblin' Rover and Copper Beech Molly Malone contributed to this award.

Tiz Benedict won her Breeder Order of the Dragon Award for being the breeder of fifteen ponies with LOM awards. This has been in the works since the outset of the WPCSA Lifetime Awards program. Tiz is the first breeder to win an Order of the Dragon Award with solely Section A Welsh ponies.
Severn Penelope won her Individual Legion of Merit award. She was also tied for National Reserve Champion Section A Mare. Penny was Supreme Champion at the Maryland Pony Breeders Midsummer Madness Show, all aside from competing successfully under saddle which placed her 3rd Place Hunter 12.2 and Under and 2nd Place English Pleasure 12.2 and Under in the nation.
Gypsy Rose's Pride won his Sire Legion of Merit Award. The five ponies that contributed to his points are Severn Filigree (foaled 2015 out of Severn Silk 'n Satin), Copper Beech Marigold (foaled 2016 out of Severn Periwinkle), Severn Sweet Charlotte (foaled 2017 out of Shallow Creek Jubilee), Severn Aurora (foaled 2021 out of Severn Athena), Severn Chloe (foaled 2022 out of Severn Ciara).

Severn Bluebell was National 8th Place Section A Mare with limited showing and a foal at foot. She was Grand Champion Section A at the Maryland Pony Breeders Midsummer Madness Show.
Severn Bellwether was National 4th Place Section A Colt. He was Champion Colt under one judge at the Bel Air Wesh Classic.
Lochinvar Vaquero arrived at Severn Oaks from Oregon. We are excited to see him grow and show in the next few years.

Severn Bay Rum won his Sire Legion of Merit award. His five legs were Severn Penelope (out of Severn Olympia), Severn Glitter 'n Gleam (out of Alliance Designer Bow), Severn Savannah (out of Bright Leaf Dresden), Severn Black Iris (out of Severn Periwinkle), and Severn Hawthorne (out of Severn Periwinkle).
Severn Hawthorne was the 2022 National Reserve Champion Section A Colt. He was Supreme and Reserve Supreme Champion at the Bel Air Welsh Classic.
Severn Ciara was the 2022 National 3rd Place Section A Mare. She was Supreme and Reserve Supreme Champion at the Bel Air Welsh Classic.
Severn Bell Buoy was the 2022 National 6th Place Section A Colt. He was Section A Grand Champion at the Maryland Pony Breeders Annual Show.
Severn Penelope was the 2022 National 4th Place Section A Mare. She was first in the WPCSA A/B Conformation English Pleasure Stake - Junior class at the PC Silver Show #3. This was her first year showing under saddle.
Severn Sweet Charlotte was 2022 National 6th Place Section A Mare. She was Senior Champion Section A Mare at the Maryland Pony Breeders Midsummer Madness Show over her half sister, Severn Filigree.
Severn Chloe was 2022 National 6th Place Section a Filly. She was Reserve Grand Champion Section A at the Penn Mary-Del Show.
Heather Hill Millenia was 2022 first place Adult Walk/Trot Equitation and first place Adult Walk/Trot Pleasure nationally with Sarah Iliff riding.

Severn Baubles 'N Beads, LOM (Severn West Wind LOM AOE x Alliance Designer Bow LOM AOE an Individual AOE in 2014. She was important (along with various siblings, etc) in helping both her parents gain their AOE awards.

SEVERN OLYMPIA, LOM was our Dam Legion of Merit winner in 2014. Foaled 1993 (Severn West Wind LOM AOE x Hobby Horse T T's Gold Doll LOM). Olympia's four fillied by Severn Merrymaker LOM were her legs - Severn Siren Song, Severn Circe, Severn Athena and the 2012 foal pictured above, Severn Aphrodite.
2009
SEVERN WEST WIND LOM (1971-2001) was chosen as the Maryland Stallion of Distinction by the Equiery Magazine, December 2009 issue, a magazine covering all horse breeds and horse events in Maryland. "Each year, the Equiery recognizes a Maryland stallion that has had a significant and lasting impact, be it on the breed, a sport or science and animal health". We felt really honored to be in the company of Thoroughbred, Arabian, Morgan, Hanovarian stars as well as a Shetland and another Severn-bred Welsh - Severn Chief (1949x1971) (Farnley Sirius x *Revel Betty) Peggy Ingles authored a wonderful article about West Wind detailing many of his achievements as a sire as well as some farm history.
