I was delighted to speak at the Korea Cloud Datacenter Convention 2024 on 23 August in Seoul with prominent colleagues, Benjamin Maeng and Taewon Um, about data center regulation in South Korea, focusing on the overlapping nature of the regulatory landscape, prospects of regulatory development, business risks, and ways of sorting out regulatory challenges.

It's now official! I'm pleased to share that our latest proposal to NIA on testing AI agile approaches for Digital Platform Goverment has been approved. We will run the beta service of RegNavigator, an AI-based regulatory information delivery service for the next half year (about 300K USD). Congratulations to Dr. Ha Hwang, who leads the project, TTMSoft, and proud members of KIPA Regulatory Policy Department.

The KIPA Department of Regulatory Policy held a showcase for "KIPA AI-based RegNavigator" on Monday, May 13, at the Korea Finance Building. KIPA RegNavigator is an AI-powered regulatory information delivery service that users easily search regulatory provisions related to their business or everyday regulatory interests.

My latest co-authored paper, "The Development of RegTech and Implications for Regulatory Innovation: Focusing on Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management (레그테크 발전 동향과 규제혁신에의 함의 : 규제준수 및 리스크 관리를 중심으로)," is published in the Journal of Regulation Studies (규제연구) in December 2022 (Vol. 31, No. 2, pp. 161-192). RegTech can contribute to efficient and effective regulatory compliance and management by solving problems of information deficits and regulatory resource shortages experienced by both regulators and regulatees.

My latest co-authored paper, entitled "Motivational Postures and Defiance in COVID-19 Social Distancing in South Korea (규제불응의 동기와 시민의 태도 : 코로나19 사회적 거리두기를 중심으로)," is published in the Korean Public Administration Review (한국행정학보) in September 2022 (Vol. 56, No. 3, pp. 309-337). Using a binomial logistic regression, we analysed a survey conducted on 3,023 ordinary citizens and identified the correlation between motivational postures and noncompliance with COVID-19 social distancing.
