Belts are an internal ranking system separate from the In-game ranking system to determine the skill level and 'prestige' of an individual within our dojo. There are several requirements per belt that must be achieved before you can obtain a belt.
The hierarchy of belts goes as follows: White Belt, Orange Belt, Green Belt, Blue Belt, Purple Belt, III Degree Red Belt, II Degree Red Belt, I Degree Red Belt,
White Belt - White Belt is the starting belt upon entering the dojo. This doesn't have any requirements outside of passing the tryout.
Orange Belt - Orange Belt proves you are a disciplined student and is obtained by:
Beating either a current standing orange belt (or higher) or two current white belts in a FT5
Green Belt - Green Belt proves you are an advanced learner and prepared to start achieving a higher rank in the Dojo. This is obtained by:
Beating a current standing green belt (or higher) or two current orange belts in a FT5
Blue Belt- Blue Belt proves you are beyond a starter of the Dojo and is obtained by:
Placing in the top 5 in a dojo tournament
Beating a current Green Belt or higher
Purple Belt - Purple Belt are veteran students of the Dojo, serving as examples of skill and combat ability. This belt is obtained by:
Placing in the top 3 in a dojo tournament
Beating a current Purple Belt or higher
Red Belts - Those who have obtained a red belt are in preparation to becoming a Black Belt, the highest achievable belt of the dojo
I Degree Red Belt -
Winning a dojo tournament
Scoring 3/9 on Sensei Amy or a Black Belt
II Degree Red Belt -
Winning a dojo tournament
Scoring 5/9 on Sensei Amy or a Black Belt
Beating a II Degree Red Belt or higher (Counts if you beat Sensei)
III Degree Red Belt -
Winning a dojo tournament
Beating Sensei Amy or a Black Belt
Black Belts - Black Belts are our highest-ranked students and those with a black belt are eligible to become a student, or our "Elite Team" pick.
Black Belts are given at the discretion of the Lead/Co-Lead Sensei. However, Degree IV requires you to podium in an AV/MT and Degree V requires you to have won one
