OUR STORY

SEST was born out of a deep passion for fashion and a profound belief of storytelling. Founded by Abby O'Connell, an Irish designer who's work is a canvas for emotions and experiences, SEST embodies the essence of what it means to wear your story. SEST's motto 'we all have a story to tell' is at the heart of everything we create. Each collection reflects the journeys we take and the memories we hold dear.

SEST stands for 6872, where S represents 6, E represents 8, S represents 7, and T represents 2. These numbers hold deep significance, with 1968 being the birth year of Abby's Father and 1972 being the birth year of her Mother. Family is everything to Abby, and this brand is a tribute to the people who made her who she is today. what better way to honour them than through clothing that tells their story as well as her own?

MEET THE DESIGNER

I'm Abby O'Connell, a fashion designer who believes that clothing is more than just fabric - it's a medium for storytelling. As a graduate of Griffith College, I've developed a unique design aesthetic that blends punk influences with refined craftsmanship. My bold and distinctive designs push the boundaries of conventional fashion, making a statement with every piece.

My work is deeply personal and reflective of my own journey. I use my designs to express my emotions and share my story, with the hope of encouraging others to do the same. Through my work, i aim to inspire resilience and connection, turning fashion into a powerful tool for healing. Fashion helped me deal with my trauma and provided me an outlet for my pain. I look forward to continuing my journey in fashion design, creating clothes that inspire people to speak up and to heal.

THE STYLE

At SEST, we specialize in unique and expressive clothing with a bold, punk style. Our high-quality vegan leather and denim pieces, accented with metal hardware, are designed to make a statement. Each design is meticulously crafted, blending premium materials with edgy, avant-garde elements. you won't find designs like ours anywhere else.

We prioritize eco-friendly practices and materials in our design and production processes. Our collections feature vegan leather and repurposed discarded fabrics and trims, ensuring that our creations are as kind to the enviroment as they are bold in design. We embrace the darker hues of black and grey, which symbolize the depth and mystery of human emotions. These colours serve as the foundation of our aesthetic, creating a striking yet understated elegance that resonates with the soul.
