Fundraising status

Public school funding in Colorado is complicated and relies on property taxes, student enrollment, state funding, and local referenda. Colorado public school funding per pupil has consistently been in the bottom third across the country. This lower per pupil funding, coupled with declining public school enrollment across the state, has led to budgetary concerns in K-12 education. Superior Elementary School is not immune to this.

One of our main goals as a PTA is to help raise funds to bridge the gap between what we receive from the state and what our school needs to operate to ensure we continue to offer one of the best elementary school experiences in the state. In order to bridge the gap, we hope to raise at least $100,000. This money helps to fund paraeducators in our classrooms, improve school equipment, and invest in programs valuable to our school and students.

Annual Fund

Our goal is to raise $100,000 for our Annual Fund to support our amazing paraprofessionals, purchase needed supplies for our school, support annual improvements, and help make our beloved 5th grade musical possible. Every child at Superior Elementary feels the impact of these dollars raised, from small group reading support in our classrooms to new equipment in our gymnasium.

We ask that each family contribute $250 per student to ensure we meet our fundraising goals and continue to offer the best possible learning environment to all our students.

STATUS: As of January 2026, we have raised $45,000.
