Sermon Cam does not collect, transmit, or share any of your data. Your sermon videos, transcripts, and clips never leave your device unless you deliberately export or share them yourself.
There are no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party services of any kind.
The one thing the app talks to is Apple, and only to handle your subscription. That is described under "Subscriptions" below.
Nothing.
We do not collect your name, email address, location, device identifiers, usage statistics, crash reports, or any other information. We operate no server, and the app sends nothing to us.
When you create a project, the app writes the following into its own private storage area on your device:
The video you selected, or a working copy of it
The tracking data describing where the subject appears in each frame
The transcript of the sermon audio, including any corrections you make
Your framing settings, caption styles, saved presets, and clip definitions
This data stays in the app's container on your device. Other apps cannot read it. It is removed when you delete the project inside the app, and all of it is removed if you delete the app.
Temporary working files created during tracking, transcription, and export are written to the system temporary directory and cleaned up when the work finishes.
Sermon audio is transcribed entirely on your device using Apple's built-in speech recognition, explicitly configured to run on-device only. Your audio is not uploaded to Apple or to anyone else for transcription.
iOS itself may download speech recognition language models from Apple in order to support on-device transcription. That is a function of the operating system, not of this app, and is covered by Apple's own privacy policy.
Exporting a finished video requires a paid subscription. Everything else in the app — importing, tracking, transcribing, framing, captions, and cutting clips — is free.
Subscriptions are sold and processed entirely by Apple through the App Store, using StoreKit. When you subscribe, restore a purchase, or the app checks whether your subscription is current, iOS communicates with Apple's servers on the app's behalf.
We never see your payment details. Apple does not give this app your name, email address, or payment information, and the app does not ask for them. What the app receives from Apple is a signed confirmation that this Apple ID has an active subscription, and nothing else. That answer is used only to decide whether the export button works.
We keep no record of who has subscribed, because there is nowhere for us to keep one. Apple's handling of your purchase is covered by Apple's own privacy policy.
Photo library (read) — so you can pick the sermon recording you want to work on. The app only reads the item you choose.
Photo library (add) — so the app can save your finished video back to your photo library, and only when you ask it to.
Speech recognition — required by iOS before any app may transcribe audio, including on-device transcription.
Each permission is used only for the purpose described above. Declining a permission limits the corresponding feature but does not otherwise affect the app.
The app includes a standard iOS share sheet so you can send a finished clip to another app, such as Messages, Mail, or a social app. That transfer only happens when you choose it, and you choose the destination. Once a file leaves the app this way, it is governed by the privacy policy of whichever app or service you sent it to.
The app contains no third-party SDKs, libraries, analytics packages, advertising networks, or crash reporters. Nothing in the app reports to anyone.
Apple is the sole exception, and only as the processor of App Store subscriptions, as described above.
The app does not collect information from anyone, including children. It contains no advertising. The only links in the app are to this policy, to the Terms of Use, and to the support address below.
Because nothing is collected, there is nothing to retain and nothing to request the deletion of. To remove everything the app has stored locally, delete individual projects inside the app, or delete the app from your device.
If a future version of the app changes how data is handled, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the "last updated" date above will change.
