Thank you for using Private Diary, Notes & Journal (hereinafter referred to as “Serenity”). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our Android application.

1. Information We Collect

a. Personal Data

We do not collect or store any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email, contacts, or payment card information.

b. Journal Entries

Your journal entries are stored locally on your device and are never shared or transmitted to our servers. You have full control over your data.

c. Backup to Google Drive

If you choose to enable backup, your journal data will be securely saved to your own Google Drive account using Google’s official APIs. Serenity does not access any other files in your Drive and cannot read or modify data unrelated to the app.

d. Analytics

We collect non-sensitive, anonymous analytics data to improve app performance and user experience. This may include:

• App version

• Device type and OS version

• Basic usage events (e.g., feature usage, crash reports)

We use this data solely to improve Serenity. No personal or journal content is included in analytics.

e. Purchases and Subscriptions

Serenity offers optional paid features through Google Play Billing. These include monthly and yearly subscriptions and a one-time lifetime purchase.

All payments are processed by Google Play. Serenity does not collect, store, or have access to your payment card details, bank account information, or other sensitive payment information.

Google Play may provide Serenity with limited information related to your purchase, such as your purchase status and information necessary to verify and manage your access to paid features. This information is used solely to provide and manage the purchased features.

Purchases and subscriptions are subject to Google Play’s terms and policies.

2. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your data stored on your device and in your Google Drive. However, please remember that no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

3. Your Choices

• You may disable backups at any time via the app settings.

• You may manage or cancel your subscriptions through your Google Play account settings.

• You may delete all your local data by uninstalling the app and remove backups from your Google Drive manually.

4. Third-party Services

Serenity uses the following third-party services:

• Google Drive API – for secure backup of your journal data to your own Google account.

• Google Play Billing – for processing purchases and subscriptions and verifying access to paid features.

• Analytics service – for collecting anonymized usage statistics.

These services may have their own privacy policies and terms.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the app.
