I'm excited to share a new project I'm currently working on in a beautiful town in the South East of England. A new client has commissioned me to design a Velux loft conversion that will create a habitable bedroom.
One of the unique aspects of this project is its location within a designated Conservation Area. This adds a layer of complexity that requires a sensitive and experienced approach to design and planning. The key is to create a modern, elegant space that enhances the property while respecting the historical and architectural character of the surrounding area.

The client came to me with a clear vision: a loft conversion that feels seamless, particularly an elegant new staircase that works perfectly with the existing stairs. The client also had a great appreciation for my working model, which relies on the client providing measurements to eliminate unnecessary site visits and keep the process efficient. With over 100 loft extension designs under my belt, I'm confident I can achieve this vision while ensuring all design and regulatory requirements are met.

I am currently awaiting planning validation from the Local Authority. This is a crucial milestone, and once I have the green light, I can move forward with the detailed Building Regulations drawings.
