North Boondall station opened as Cabbage Tree Creek in 1882 at the same time as the line. It was later renamed Nudgee College and then to Boondall in 1923. The line was duplicated in 1901 and on 18 September 1982, the line was electrified through the station from Bowen Hills to Shorncliffe. The station faced closure in 1986 due to the relocation of Boondall station to serve the Brisbane Entertainment Centre which resulted in community opposition. The station was kept open and renamed North Boondall as a result.
North Boondall serves the homonymous suburb of Boondall which was named after the Aboriginal word for crooked creek.
North Boondall station has two platforms consisting of two side platforms. Platform 1 is used for inbound services and platform 2 is used for outbound services.
North Boondall station has two station entrances. One is the carpark on Aberdeen Parade and the other is the cycle path on the eastern side.
North Boondall station doesn’t have any disability access.
