Bindha station opened in 1947 to serve the employees of the Golden Circle Cannery adjacent to the station. The line was electrified on 18 September 1982.
Bindha was named after the Kabi indigenous tribe’s word for food.
Bindha station itself has two platforms consisting of an island platform. Platform 1 is for inbound services, platform 2 is for outbound services.
Bindha station has two station entrances from the Golden Circle Cannery and from Northlink Place.
