Program Overview

Starting in the ninth grade, we provide rigorous academic instruction, quality mentorship, and individualized advising, to ensure that our Scholars are admitted to competitive colleges, and experience a rich and rewarding college education.

When a student joins SEO they must commit to the following:

Weekday: One day of after school in-person classes (T-Th)

Saturday Academy: Three Saturdays a month of in-person classes

Summer Academy: Five weeks of in-person Summer Academy (July-Aug)

After-School Instruction

Weekly, after-school, seminar-style classes and small-group tutoring is a vital component of our program model. Classes are discussion-based and mimic college courses.

Saturday Academy

A full day of “school” is provided three Saturdays per month during the academic year. Experienced Instructors deliver a rigorous and comprehensive curriculum of reading, writing, grammar, and math.

Summer Academy

Our five-week Summer Academy features classes Monday through Friday, that bring our Scholars closer to their goals of college graduation and establishes community amongst peers.
