About the Founder

Having graduated with a B.a(hons) Psychological Counselling in a time when our Country"South Africa" was experiencing Youth unemployment, high crime rate, GBV, teenage pregnancy and drug abuse, i really had a hard time securing employment and suffered greatly with stress because i was unemployed for years and all that i could do was Volunteer to fulfil my passion for Counselling people and have a sense of purpose.Going to school was a struggle on it`s own because at some point i did not have funding and had to work in order for me to fund my studies. I then felt the need to register with a Counselling proffesional body so i can offer proffesional support and assistance to our fellow citizens who are experiencing different hardships endured on a daily basis . I know the pain of feeling helpless, misunderstood,useless and stagnant.This then led me to opening a Non-profit Organisation and get graduate volunteers who can assist the public with Counselling Services, job placements, college applications and tutoring services.

As an ASCHP accredited and practising Specialist Wellness Counsellor with a BA (HSS) Psychological Counsellling degree and BA(HONS) degree in psychological Counselling, I utilise different therapeutic approaches with different people faced with various life challenges. This is because people`s life experiences are different and should be approached as such.

Christian based counselling is the most utilised in our Organisation because we believe every person has a purpose and that purpose needs to be discovered, nurtured and lived. Person-centred approach is also used as it  focuses on the client`s empowerment and healing process, growth and wellness of body, mind and spirit. My approach to counselling is completely holistic, honouring every aspect of a client`s life: Physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual. I strive towards creating a therapeutic environment that reflects unconditional acceptance and a safe space for self- expression.

With more than 4years experience in the counselling field, i see myself not as the expert with all the answers but as a companion prepared to journey with my clients in search of better outcomes for problematic life situations. My role is Not to give advise or offer solutions for my client`s problem story, but to ask questions and hold the space for a conversation that will in the end give clarity and understanding out of an overwhelming or confusing situation.

About Gracious Gift (NPO)

We are a Non Profit Organisation based in Limpopo Province in Seshego township. We are a group of graduates in different fields seeking to assist the public, more especially the Youth with Free counselling, Job placement, Company Registrations, Tutoring and College applications. Upon availability of funds we help with Start-up capital for a business and college registration fees. Our services are Global, Virtual and Free of Charge.
