PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATORS

After a master and a PhD on seabirds at Centre d’Etudes Biologiques de Chizé (CEBC-CNRS) and a postdoc at the Tour du Valat and at Patuxent Wildlife Research Center, Christophe is recruited as a researcher in ecology at the CEBC in 2001. He studies the ecology and population dynamics of seabird populations with an emphasis on the impact of climate changes and industrial fisheries on seabirds. He regularly conducts field missions in Antarctica, sub Antarctic islands, Peru, Brazil and France.

Yan ROPERT-COUDERT

Yan has a PhD from the National Institute of Polar Research, Japan (2001), where he was a scientist until 2007, before being recruited at the CNRS in Strasbourg (2008-15) and at the CEBC since 2015. He is the director of a polar program supported by the French Polar Institute and the chief officer of the Life Science Group, the secretary of the Expert Group on Birds and Marine Mammals and a member of the Standing Committee on the Antarctic Treaty System at the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research.
