¡Bienvenidos a Primer Grado!

Welcome to Primer Grado and Salón 6!  

My name is Señorita Mohr, and I will be your teacher next year! 

I look forward to all that we will learn and experience together in primer grado!  We will ask questions, solve problems, do experiments, create, work collaboratively, listen actively, challenge ourselves and one another, grow our independence, practice mindfulness, explore the outdoors, make mistakes and learn from them, develop our growth mindsets, practice kindness and, most importantly, have fun-all in Español!  We will reconnect with old friends and make new friends, developing a supportive classroom community in which we feel safe to take risks and to be ourselves. 

I hope you are excited about summer and that you get to enjoy some special time with your family and friends doing really fun things.  I am excited to learn all about your summer adventures when we come together again in September. This summer, I will spend some time in Coastal Maine, where I grew up. I will also make time this summer to garden, run on some wooded trails, surf, and read, read, read!  

I look forward to getting to know you as a first-grader when we come together in Salón 6.  In the meantime, I thought you might like to know a little bit more about me, and hope you will fill in your favorites next to mine on the chart on the next page to bring in with you when school begins, so I can start to learn about you.  Feel free to do this in English or Spanish (if possible), but we will share it with each other en Español in September!
