About me

Hello! I am from Baldwinsville, New York, a town just outside of Syracuse. I decided I wanted less snow and more sunshine in my life, so I moved to Charleston in July of 2017! I have the most amazing family that I am very close with. I enjoy reading, playing recreational sports, boxing, jiu jitsu, hanging out with friends, and spending time with my nieces and nephew.

I earned my Bachelor's degree in Spanish Education from SUNY Cortland. I studied abroad in Spain for a semester at the Universidad de Salamanca and a semester at the Universidad de Cadiz. I earned my Master's degree in Spanish Literature from Binghamton University.

This is my thirteenth year teaching Spanish. I absolutely love teaching! I have helped implement a Student Tour Abroad program at Orange Grove. We started this program in 2019 bringing a group of students to Costa Rica! I will continue to lead a tour each year. For more information check out the "Travel With Us" tab!

I am excited to be teaching 8th grade Spanish! I am looking forward to a great year with my AMAZING students!
