Desmond Claude '22 SENE BVBB Player of the Year

Desmond Claude '22 was our best player this year for the SENE Championship team that finished 22-3. He has scored 454 points this season. He unfortunately missed 1 game due to a minor injury and STM lost that 1 game. In the championship game against MacDuffie, he was held to 0 points in the first half because of great defense and early foul trouble. Claude finished the game with 24 points and 6 assists. Des is an extremely intelligent, highly skilled, and natural basketball player who continually grew on and off the court each week. He is one of the most kind and respectful students in our community. He is a Residential Assistant on campus and is the community service coordinator. Des is expected to be on our PG Basketball team next year, which is unheard of for an underclassman. Below are Claude's regular season stats and playoff stats. Claude’s regular season stats: 21 MINUTES PER GAME, 18.7 points per game, 7.1 rebounds per game, 4.3 assist per game, 1.03 steals per game, 61.9% 2 point field goal percentage, 49.7% 3 point field goal percentage & 75% free throw percentage. Claude’s playoff stats: (2 games) 21 points per game, 5 rebounds per game, 4 assist per game, 2 steals per game, 74.8% 2 point field goal percentage, 69.3% 3 point field goal percentage
