Connecting food and agricultural systems is challenging; This workshop is aimed at the growing population of data practitioners and digital experts that are transforming world agricultural and food practices by applying data science and digital tools. It is an opportunity to highlight and discover the work that is being carried out around the world, through the application of semantics and linked data to meet these and other challenges. We are interested in use cases, studies and projects which show the application of semantic technologies in Food, Agriculture, Environment and Nutrition. Topics can include (but are not limited to):

• Modeling and knowledge representation in Agriculture, Environment, Food and Nutrition
• Vocabularies, ontologies and other standards for these domains
• Crowdsourcing approaches to data collection for complex food systems
• Search, exploration & interpretation of online disparate data across the value chain
• Enablers of new interactions between players and data in food systems
• Internet of Things approaches that support or enhance food and agriculture systems
• Digital technologies to create new services that create better outcomes for food production, supply, retail and consumers
• Interface designs, user experience for online and mobile food system activities and events;
• (Deep) learning technologies for content analysis with focus on outcomes for food systems
• Use of social media content and analytics for the benefit of food systems including digital storytelling, narratives, smart summaries with focus on food, agriculture, environment and nutrition.
