Semestra helps you plan semesters, manage courses and lessons, and practice with AI-generated quizzes. We minimize data collection and give you control over your information.

Data We Collect

• Account data: email, name, major.

• App content: semesters, courses, lessons, schedules, quizzes, notes.

• Diagnostics and usage: crash logs, basic analytics, and performance events.

• Support communications: messages you send via feedback or email.

• Push notification data: Expo push token and platform (iOS/Android/Web) to deliver notifications.

How We Use Data

• Provide and improve features like lesson summaries and quiz creation.

• Personalize your experience and maintain sessions.

• Security, fraud prevention, debugging, and diagnostics.

• Respond to support requests.

• Deliver push notifications for schedules, lesson reminders, quizzes, and approaching deadlines.

AI Services

When you use AI features, we send only the necessary content (for example lesson text or titles) to our AI providers to fulfill your request.

We do not sell your data. Providers may retain logs for a limited period as described in their policies.

Avoid including sensitive personal data in lesson content.

Data Storage

Your content is stored on your device and may sync to our servers if you sign in across devices or enable cloud backup.

Uninstalling the app removes local data. You can request deletion of server data by contacting support.

Data Retention

We retain account data while your account is active. Backups and logs are kept for limited periods consistent with operational and legal requirements.

Children

Semestra is intended for users aged 13 or older, or the minimum age required in your country.

International Transfers

Data may be processed on servers in the United States or other countries with appropriate safeguards.

Push Notifications

With your permission, Semestra sends notifications such as schedules, reminders, and deadline alerts.

You may disable notifications at any time in device settings.
