The goal of the program is to reach as many Grade 6-9 educators and their students as possible, especially girls and Indigenous youth. The campaign provides activities in three strands (Science & Technology, Fitness & Nutrition, and Teamwork & Communication) for educators to conduct in the classroom. If the educator conducts one activity in the classroom, they are then eligible to enter their name in a draw for an astronaut to visit their school. If the students complete one activity from each strand, they can then enter their name in a draw to attend a Junior Astronauts camp at the Canadian Space Agency headquarters in summer 2020.
