Self Defense and Sexual Harassment Awareness Gold Award Project

To start off, without a doubt, sexual harassment affects many people throughout the United States. And it can happen anywhere: universities, in the workplace. And it doesn't stop there. Sexual harassment can cause horrible effects on its victims and many other things I discussed in the "My Project" section.

In coming up with my Gold Award project idea, I've been in Girl Scouts and Taekwondo for the majority of my life, so I thought why not put my two passions together to create this project? My Gold Award hopes to address the lack of education and awareness of Sexual Harassment and to promote Self Defense, ensuring that people can both acknowledge that sexual harassment does occur and its crucial acknowledgement, as well as being able to defend oneself in a dangerous situation. Furthermore, this project is primarily geared towards women, but can be applied to anyone!
