Parrot's Interface

The Interface

Here is the interface of Parrot, and what each section does:

  1. The category section: here you can find all the categories you created: the arrow lets you switch between categories, and the gear lets you rename the current category or delete it. If you delete the current category all the group in it will also be deleted, so be careful!
  2. The groups: Here you can see the list of group in that category.
  3. An unloaded group: all the objects in this groups are in scenes that aren't currently loaded. If you click on it you will be asked if you want to load the corresponding scenes.
  4. A loaded group: this group may contain some objects in unloaded scenes, in which case Parrot will ask you if you want to load the corresponding scenes when trying to select the group.
  1. The options for that group: you can change the group icon, rename the group, or delete it. Please note that deleting a group does not delete its objects, it just delete the selection reference.
  2. This button will show the content of that group (see below)
  3. A highlighted group: this group is hovered by the mouse, so all the objects it contains are highlighted on the hierarchy, the project window and the scene view.
  4. A selected group: this group currently has all its objects selected
  5. The content of a group, ordered by scenes. You can remove objects from the group here (or by dragging those objects on the group). If you hover an object it will be highlighted, and if you click on it it will be selected and focused.
  6. This button lets you add a new empty group. You can as well drag and drop objects on that button to directly create a new group.
  7. This button deselects everything. This can be useful when you don't want to select something else instead.
