Installing BELLE at Baruch - Georgetown, SC, Jan'25
Seismo group at USC (SC) went down to the Baruch Marine Field Laboratory to install a permanent accelerometer (check out the live seismic data here) to fill in the station coverage gap (SCSN) on the north coast of South Carolina. Holes were dug, concrete was mixed, dad-jokes were told, Fish 'n chips were devoured, and fun was had.Â
18 international geoscientists from widely different backgrounds assembled in late July 2024 for 10 days to do some wicked fieldwork and collaborative science. Read the Postcards from the field and a brief Field report, if you are so inclined.
