Ad Perfectum Amorem
Ad Perfectum Amorem
April 2025 to May 2025
Easter Season is a time to reflect on our Lord and Savior's life, death, burial, and resurrection. As we remember how the Lord forgave us, let's not forget to extend that same gift as we await the good hope of our Lord's return. In the mean time, I am honored to present this beautiful painting of our Lord on the cross.
Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.” (Luke 23:42-43)
Have a look at this beautiful poem (based on the painting above) written and performed by Sylvestre Bimpe, about the perfect love of Jesus:
Growing up I was always filled with wonders and a stack of curiousities...my mind kept running far off to places I could not keep up with or comprehend and was just not mature enough to truly understand, but one of the places it fled to which maturity was the least to even think about was the one we all desire desperately at our core whether silently or expressively…and I'll give y’all a moment to dwell on what y’all think it is.
in case you are too slow I'll help you out...it’s the perfect gift we got yet if we were asked why we couldn’t answer because it was not subject to a feeling nor condition but it was embedded in the DNA of a king of royalty and when I say DNA i don’t mean deoxyribonucleic acid i mean the divine nature of adoration we are undeserving of.
What I'm talking about ain’t no hallmark type of love, nah I'm taking about about the selfless kind, not the one painted by the world which is all about one’s self...drake might know one or two things about love but he ain’t no certified lover boy compared to my king Jesus the prince of peace and the embodiment of love…he was and is love in the purest and perfect form, he laid himself as the way to his father’s house for his bride which was not worthy of him.
He could’ve been seated in ethereal places feasting yet he choose to come to a pig’s filth to die for me when I did not even know him, even as he was dying he could’ve been saved by twelve legions of angels at the snap of his finger like Thanos yet he said nah I'm staying up here on this cross for them whom I love, never did a man love like this man before and never will a man do.
Great is his love that he slept 3 nights where we deserved eternity, not even death could hold him from his loved ones. Based on since we have been taught that the diamond was the hardest substance to crack but I realized we have been misinformed because the King of kings proved it wrong when he displayed the greatest act of love as his death on the cross of calvary for me…at the moment I realized even a man can get butterflies in his stomach…for the love of God is the firmest foundation, no height you can climb is too far for his love to reach you, there no depth too deep for his love you pull you up from, his love is the overflow that overrides Noah's flood, no wind too powerful to sweep you away from his love, remember he loved you before you could even utter the words love, he loves you when you don’t even know how to love yourself and will love you when you think you don’t deserve his love. I always thought the James Bond was so cool and wanted to be like him but when Christ found me i knew no man was greater then he Jesus the name above all name. History is so wrong because how can you how can you call him “Alexander the Great” when it was Christ whom never lost a battle and won us the greatest battle out of his immense love for you and I.
His love is so exquisite that it truly contradicts all law of humanity, he loved the very crowd that mocked, ridiculed and spat on him just like a mother loves her own. He loved you so much that when the father was fed up with you and all your sin he plead for you saying to his Father “forgive them father for they know not what they do”.
The world teaches the receptional and conditional based love and he came to show the true love, the unconditional selfless everlasting love the transforms even the men whom his heart is is of stone and so numb.so be reminded we are undeserving of this love yet we have it not because it’s not about what we do or don’t do it’s because it’s who he is and he will never quit loving you because it will mean he will quit being himself.

Thankfully, I picked up some skills in writing poetry and wanted to write a short piece in tribute of the poem above. Let's see if I can get crack at this:
Trust in the Silence
She looks up at the sky as He paints her a picture using the palette of the galaxy.
When she thinks about the vastness of the universe, out there in the night, what color does she see except the endless sheet of darkness that He pulls further and further into the distance. As she stands out in the cold that bites the tips of her fingers, she is enclosed in the valley and the depths of darkness. Where it ends and where it begins is a mystery on its own, yet it wraps itself around her world like an icy blanket. A beautiful paradox begins to form, an unlikely union between light and darkness. The black, with it's ability to absorb all light instead allows the stars to shine while it lingers as their backdrop. Somehow it holds all the stars in place with its unseen hands. The silent rendition begins as every star utters a song her human intellect cannot even begin to fathom. Who can understand the chords of these celestial entities except their Maker who writes their melodies. Despite the differing tunes they all unite in harmony to render an intricate symphony of praise towards the Conductor of Music. O crescent moon, what is the sound of your voice that she too may hear the joy kept deeply in your heart. Her ears yearn to hear the lyrics of your song to the Creator of heaven and earth. What wonders have you witnessed, what goodness have you perceived in your time nestled within the night sky. Sing loudly, your new song, to the Almighty lest her mortal soul descend into deeper darkness. Suddenly, what her mind cannot understand, her spirit begins to listen intently,
LET THERE BE LIGHT.
And there was light. Right there the Spirit begins to translate the work of His mighty hands. Behold, over the horizon, the bright and morning sun interrupts her wandering thoughts as it peeks its head over the trees.
HIS MERCIES ARE NEW EVERY MORNING,
it comforts her as the fourth and final watch fizzles to an end. The shadows flee away and the warmth begins to trickle through her skin, permeating her heart and breaking the bonds that once held her in anxious thought.
BE STILL, BECAUSE I AM.
At the end of all the darkness somewhere, her God stands waiting in the gap of uncertainty, like a young stag galloping over the mountains of separation to reach her. As He continues to paint on this endless canvas, she is reminded that black is only for a time. Its silent power is not to consume her, but it is the stage for her to reflect the glory of her God as she faces Him and beholds His face.
O crescent moon, she now understands your song and so her heart delights in unveiled fashion to gaze upon her heart's desire. As she takes the stage along with the stars, she too begins to belt out her song.
"I'm not wearing enough black," she says, "how then will You shine?"

"Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?"
Everyone has had to forgive someone at some point in their life. Some more than others. Some of us had to forgive terrible errors - and Jesus knows all about forgiving terrible things! But how do you forgive someone who actively seeks to harm or betray you? In this blog post, we're going to look at the heart of forgiveness and how you CAN forgive despite any wrong.
