The mision of the SEG-UIS is to disseminate and promote in both university students and the community in general, the pure geophysics and applied geophysics in multiple areas such as: exploration of the subsoil in search of renewable and non renewable resources, civil engineering, archeology, environmental etc. Based on activities such as lectures, forums, courses, workshops and debates.
The Vision of the SEG-UIS is to become one of the most recognized chapters nationally and internationally, positioning itself in the highest ranking in which the student chapters of the Society are classified (Summit-level and best Student Chapter), as well as to contribute to the synergy between industry and academy in geophysics topics.
