SEE IT. BE. IT. - Partnerships

See It. Be It. has partnered with The United Way of Southwest Georgia to discuss ways to provide sustainable Representation in Reading materials across Southwest Georgia. It is our goal to work alongside their mission to make a difference in the lives of people in our area by supporting literacy goals in any way possible.

PINES (Public Information Network for Electronic Services) is the lending network for 300 libraries in 51 counties across the state of Georgia. PINES creates a statewide database that provides equal access to books beyond their local shelves for all Georgians with a PINES library card. Among those books is Janeybug's Big Day, our signature book written by the founder of See It. Be It.

In addition to being accessible via PINES, Janeybug's Big Day is also registered with the Georgia Public Library Service. You can find this book, alongside thousands of other books, on the shelves at any local library in the state of Georgia. This partnership gives children all over the state access to an empowering book, full of representation at no cost to them.

Janeybug's Big Day was picked up by the Georgia Department of Early Care & Learning shortly after it was published. It was used as featured state wide curriculum for their Inclusive Early Learning week. Through this partnership, the inspirational message in Janeybug's Big Day was spread throughout every public pre-k class in the state of Georgia (approximately 80k children).

The Exchange Club focuses on 4 pillars of service, including child abuse prevention & youth service. Through partnerships with 3 separate Exchange clubs in 2 different states, See It. Be It. was able to spread the message of representation, inclusion & empowerment with 200+ community leaders dedicated to the betterment of child welfare in their communities.

The Family Literacy connection aids many disadvantaged families & at risk youth through multiple educational programs that focus on literacy. Sarah Jane Houston, founder of See It. Be It., partnered with this organization to spread the message of representation, inclusion & empowerment and was able to provide a copy of Janeybug's Big Day to each family enrolled in this program.

Leadership Albany was established to identify and develop leaders in the Albany Area. Partnering with this organization allowed See It. Be It. to speak with the members of this esteemed organization about the relevance of representation and how it can further improve our city and state.

Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital employs more than 6000 people in Southwest Georgia. On it's campus, there is a child development center for the children of these world-changers. See It. Be It.'s connection to PPMH provided the opportunity to share the message of representation while reading Janeybug's Big Day.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Albany serves 1400 at risk youth in 3 counties across Georgia. As a partner with this organization, See It. Be It. founder, Sarah Jane Houston, was able to empower youth through her love of dance, share Janeybug's Big Day , & help prepare for a sold out event with more than 1000 attendees.
