Hey, can we talk?
I'm really worried about what's happening to our planet. I learned in school that we're doing things that are hurting the Earth, like cutting down too many trees, polluting the air and water, and using up all our resources too quickly. It's like we're not taking care of our home. I know, it might seem like a big problem, but I think if we all work together, we can make a difference. Can we please try to do better? Because I want to grow up in a world that's healthy and beautiful, just like it used to be.

Our organization needs your attention. The Amazon land and wildlife are in DANGER! The Peruvian government has turned its back on the Amazon. Their Congress has passed a law where DEFORESTATION is legal NOW, For more info please watch our news section.
In the last week of February, two indigenous leaders from the Peruvian Amazon (Herasmo García and Yenes Ríos) were violently murdered in their communities. Fear spreads in towns such as Unipacuyacu, Santa Martha, Sinchi Roca and Yamino, since there are already more than nine Peruvian Amazon leaders murdered since the start of the pandemic. Luis Hallazi, from the Institute of Common Good, a local partner of Manos Unidas in Peru, analyzes in this text the causes of violence and appeals to continue fighting for the rights of indigenous peoples.

Humans impact the physical environment in many ways: overpopulation, pollution, burning fossil fuels, and deforestation. Changes like these have triggered climate change, soil erosion, poor air quality, and undrinkable water. These negative impacts can affect human behavior and prompt mass migrations or battles over clean water.
Help others understand the impact humans have on the physical environment.
