A Neighbourhood Plan is a way for local people to influence the planning and development of the area in which they live and work. Our Plan will last until 2030 and should:
The Neighbourhood Plan provides us, the community, with an opportunity to influence and shape development in our local area. For the first time, local people can create a plan that allows them to develop planning policies that reflect the priorities of their area with real legal weight. The whole community then decides at a referendum vote whether the local authority should bring the plan into force by adopting it.
Once adopted, our Neighbourhood Plan will become part of the statutory development plan, which means it must be taken into account when planning applications and appeals are determined. This is your opportunity to have your say and let us know what it’s like living in Sedgeberrow, and your aspirations for the future. Please do get involved and keep in touch with our progress on this website.
