My work in 3D, Motion Design, Video and Post Production includes advertising, branding videos, product shoots, and social media for businesses and influencers.
Being involved in all these areas brings benefits, they crossover and compliment eachother and my ability to pivot to provide creative solutions in each discipline is a tremendous versatility and benefits all projects that I am involved with.
In addition to working to a Brief, I also provide concepts, light and shoot the footage, plus editing and post production. I enjoy thinking up concepts and bringing them to life with a variety of techniques to provide scroll-stopping website and social media content and I'm always imagining, testing, and exploring new ways to make cool stuff.
I'm using DSLR cameras with multiple lenses and a mix of LED lighting and natural light to achieve the desired looks and I work in Adobe Premiere and After Effects for video editing, post production and motion, and Blender for my 3D work.

A small selection of Video examples taken from my various projects, all conceived, created and post produced by me alone.
Presented blog style for now.
I put together this self initiated piece to try out some ideas on lighting, modelling and camera animation as a study ahead of a client project. I used Blender scenes to add several versions with different camera moves and then added them all to the Sequencer, adding in a music track and tweaking to loop. Music from https://www.zapsplat.com

Creative challenge in lighting and spinning a Training shoe - making it seem like a 3D model. Filmed using my DSLR and 50mm lens plus LED lighting.
CREATIVE SOLUTIONS & IDEAS
For my work, a big part of providing creative solutions is not only coming up with and pitching ideas and concepts but also in putting together working tests and demos to help clients visualise those ideas.
I put together this concept of jumping for the New Balance training shoes with the aim of a clean bright look and feel - shot with my Canon DSLR and 50mm lens, LED lighting and vinyl backdrop. A bit of post production work and creating a looping video round off the ideas.
Sharing a look at an early stage client project I'm working on for a Mattress box design for which I also proposed to the client the idea of a teaser 3D animation for social media ads to provide awareness of the brand and products.
Here I used Figma to create the label layout and exported as a PNG to use in Blender 3D as a label/sticker to add to the model as a texture, then light, animate and render this short sequence.
3D MODELLING & CONCEPTING
Creating and exploring further with modelling, lighting, texturing and animating, allowing myself to stray and experiment, all created in Blender, my favourite 3D Software.

3D PRODUCT RENDERING
A speculative project testing out some material, lighting and animation ideas in Blender. I modelled the product pot and I use an image for the wrap around label and re-created the top label in Figma as vectors for maximum quality.

ANIMATING A CLIENTS LOGO
For a recent video editing proof of concept I also took the liberty of taking the clients existing logo image and creating a trio of potential on brand animations.
GOOGLE EARTH TESTING
Testing out ideas around using Google maps and AfterEffects
SPORTS SHOE VIDEO & MOTION
I've been working on several concepts for a client wanting interesting short ads for their social media and website. I put together an initial loose demo as proof of concept which the client liked so I went ahead and created the full ad. I decided to use a green screen approach to provide background choices in post production, its more work but I like to have options.
Shot using my DSLR, 50mm lens and LED lighting.
GREEN SCREEN MOTION WORK
I'm always imagining and exploring new ideas and concepts, bringing them to life with a combination of photography, video, graphics and motion work to provide cool scroll-stopping website and social media content. This short form product video is a combination of green screen and hand motion work to create the flying and tumbling look and feel.
TRAINING SHOE TOP MOTION
Final training shoe stop motion animation. This is part of a larger campaign project for a clients facebook and instagram advertising. The client is needed a simple set of stop motion ads for different training shoes where the ad is an animated GIF or looping video.
Magic Teddy concept idea for Red Nose Day which I filmed at my apartment with my wife and a Teddy in the starring roles and created the animation with rotoscoping, editing, post production and posted to Facebook to raise funds for Comic Relief.
I created this bonus video for the client following up on my property photoshoot I put together at this commercial venue. Added a soundtrack, and combined google earth with motion graphics to enhance and inform. The project was well received and used to promote The Hub which until now had been neglected in its promotional opportunities. I learned that the property was successfully leased following this project.
I filmed the scenes at the legendary Mill Hill Studios north London, using DSLR and lenses plus LED light panels and fresnel LED lamps. This promotional video was mainly for a YouTube and Instagram campaign and needed several aspect ratio versions created.
Put together a little animation idea using a video I shot of Carolina Herrera perfume along with some vector Love Hearts I created in Figma. Brought both assets into After Effects and setup a short animation with some slight 3D, sometimes known as 2.5D.
A concept animation idea using a single image plus exploding coloured powder as a strong animation element in the slow motion style of the ad.
Whilst setting up for a Training shoes product shoot I was trying ideas on lighting themes to consider directions and light setups for a bit of a dramatic look.
As it turned out the client felt this was too strong of a style outside the brand and not what they were looking for and so we went with a more classic approach to the shoot. However, a few weeks later, the client has come back with interest in this look and I'm in talks about the potential of several custom shots like this for specific shoes.
I created this slow motion style animation in post production with just a still image plus with added powder blast to enhance the movement.
Part of a larger campaign this is one example of the ads I put together using footage I shot at Clapham Studios with actor Andrew Rolfe. The ads are promoting New Balance trainers and each has a concept and theme. the ads are playing on Facebook currently.
The logo you see in this piece I had previously animated for the client on a previous project.
Behind the scenes at my shoot at Clapham Studios for a footwear retailer. I put together this BTS video to give an idea of the space I was shooting in and the lighting setup. Captured a fantastic variety of footage of the actor in different outfits and shoes for the project.
Created several video ads for Facebook campaigns as well as product shots of the shoes.
I filmed this demo ad in December as a potential pitch for a client wanting ideas on ways to use outdoor locations for the products and brand.
I had the idea to use different steps around my area in Pimlico and used angles to give a dynamic look to the shots.
I've been working on video edits, intros and promos for the amazing June Angelides and her YouTube show.
I work with the Zoom video recordings and edit and improve the footage, add in the logo, taglines, titles, and transitions.
As June is very open to ideas I've been able to put together various options and approaches on the transitions, cuts and more - this is an example of one of the shows.
A last minute Wedding Video request filmed in Islington London. This is a Wedding Highlight video which the bride and groom loved. I filmed this short notice shoot using Sony Xperia 5 and edited in Adobe Premiere.
The main challenge was from colour cast and white balance in the reception room lighting due to some flickering yellow lights which at the time was impossible to counteract and had to be tackled as best possible in post.
Interview setup using DSLR and 50mm lens, natural light plus reflector and LED panel to reduce contract, audio recorded seperatley on a zoom audio recorder and matched up in post.
Team building sports day which I filmed, edited, added in text, motion graphics, sfx and even chose to compose the electro style audio track specially for the occasion.
I was assigned by Kolchagov and Barba, fashion designers, to film the runway on Fashion week at the MHotel venue London. The lighting situation was difficult to balance as the models were moving in and out of shadow and hard light and you can see one of the models over exposed and some footage was unusable, I made the most of what I captured along with some stills. Shot using Canon DSLR and lenses
Demo proof of concept for a Personal Trainer looking to attract more followers to the website and signing up new recruits for classes.
A little cropping and editing plus soundtrack and text.
Modeled and animated a Jackplug for this scene- all done in Blender.
I dont get to work on my 3D stuff as often as I would like and am looking forward to getting back into it when things settle down and I get the chance.
This video example is a rendering of a microphone I modeled, lit and animated in my favourite 3D software, Blender. Some tricky elements specifically the metal perforated grill which took a while to get right.
Timelapse of my logo creation for a client and also showing the logo placed on a tshirt to help the client better visualise the potential look and feel.
This small online ad came about when UPS wanted a simple static ad with messaging to promote their temperature controlled parcel service.
I proposed the idea of a subtle motion to add interest by animating the dry ice cloud. I took their still shot and used some cloud type images, animated those in AfterEffects and exported out as an animated GIF, they loved it, approved it and it went live for 6 weeks on hundreds of sites.
This portfolio piece came about following an idea I had looking through a magazine - I wanted to create a clean vector design that I then animate in After Effects.
I laid out the design in Figma and worked on the animation until I was happy with this look.
One of the visions I always had in mind from the start of having vague ideas about working for myself was for a neon style logo to represent the business and values I stand for. I've always loved neon lights, bit of nostalgia, bit of magic, electricity and design and this all fits for me with my work and values.
A looping animation demo and proof of concept.
A demo put together in Blender as an animation proof of concept idea in realtime using Eevee render engine.
