DESIGN & WEB DESIGN

Design and Web Design has been a huge part of my story, my background, my journey.

As a doodler and sketcher I have note-books filled with my ideas and drawings, and working with digital design tools was a natural progression for me.

My creative roles at startups, agencies and 2 large corporate advertising companies and a little freelance work has provided me with non stop challenges and opportunities with design projects for ads, flyers, landing pages, web sites, logos and much more.

In addition to being a Photoshop veteren I'm a big fan of Figma for design, web design, layouts, mocks and prototyping. For website building I used to hand code but these days my preference is designing layouts in Figma and creating the site using Webflow and other visual codeless interfaces, even Google Sites.

All of this compliments my Photography and Video work by being able to create designs, portfolios, landing pages, and web pages to promote a brand or service.

PODCAST DESIGN REQUEST

A client approached wanting an idea or two on potential layouts for PODCAST art and I put together a trio of looks for consideration.

For this tech company I chose the direction of a mic, communication and spacey/starry look.

Logo Design

My original drafts for a new logo design for a client and the final approved design all designed in Figma.

Web Page Layout Design

Several iterations and variations on a theme to arrive at the client approved version ready for coding onto the site.

DESIGN PROJECT BEFORE & AFTER

This 15 minute ad redesign challenge came about following my review of a clients existing ad with the view to creating a new stronger version of it.

My chosen direction is one of a million possible combinations of elements to create a balanced and eyecatching layout that better supports the messaging.

Design process for Mama Sauces.

I designed a Vector Chilli to go with a vector logo I setup based on a pencil sketch for use in print at all resolutions plus the bottle label layouts.

T-Shirt design mockup to demo how the logo could look on the staff uniform.

Concept Piece

A vector art illustration concept project with a play on the London Underground logo as lips.

WideFitShoes Banner Layouts created in Figma.

Landing page working mockup for client to review and consider for a promotion that was being run.

Designed in Figma and and then put it together in Webflow to publish to a demo website as an MVP test.

Self Initiated Project

Ive been working with vector tools all my career and even though I have the mighty Adobe Illustrator available, I also enjoy using Inkscape and Figma.

I created these scaleable vector pencil designs in Figma just for myself as a challenge.
