Hi Everyone!

My name is Sebastian Vogler and I am a PhD student in economics, especially empirical microeconomics.

My research interests lie in the fields of economics of education, political economy and infrastructure. My interests in economics and modern statistical methods, coupled with my Cisco CCNE certification, lead me to my particular interest in infrastructure with a focus on internet expansion and causal methods.

Questions I am particularly interested in are:

- How does education change lifelong mobility? How can we representatively map and analyse this mobility?

- How do permanent school closures in Germany change community development in the long term? Do communities change when such  critical infrastructure disappears?

- Do permanent school closures and the loss of critical infrastructure change our voting behaviour?

- Does the expansion of the internet lead to changes in community structures?

You can see my current research projects and my CV on the following pages.
