Sustainability

One of the USP’s of our business is its sustainability, we choose to use repurposed materials in the formulation of our product, such as seaweed extract and coffee granules sourced from spent coffee pods that we collected each week from the teacher’s staff room. We cleaned out the aluminium pods and returned them to Limerick Waste Recycling, any money we received was donated to Newcastle West Tidy Towns organisation.

Our packaging where possible was made from recycled paper and we were careful to source our plastic packing from a company that used recycled plastic pellets to create new.

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries - developed and developing - in a global partnership. They recognise that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests.
