To be allowed to be at the helm of a motor boat while in the waters on Connecticut you need a 'boater's driver's license'. In CT we call that a CT safe boating certificate. There are several organizations that offer such classes. Here is a link to some links to some upcoming classes.

To get your CT safe boating certificate you need to log in to the CT DEEP website and print out the certificate every year. It is the same website that you would use to print out your fishing or hunting license if you have those.

This ship sails the 37 foot "Celebration". Their crew and skipper Kai focus on racing and therefore participate in many races.
Skipper Matt leads his ship out of Madison CT. They sail the 30 foot "Whifler".
"Resolution" is currently the largest of the CT Yankee ships with it's 40 feet and over 20,000 lbs. It is sailed by Skipper Erol and his crew out of the Pequot Yacht Club.
The church that graciously allows us to meet in their rooms during the colder months of the year where Captain's Cove is closed. This way we do not have to freeze in the cold outside during the cold winter Connecticut months while learning all the important knots and map reading skills that do not require being on the water. Our home away from home.
Ship 110 would like to express our gratitude to Nichols Church for their hospitality in allowing us to use their facilities.
Located at 660 Morehouse Rd. in Easton CT, the school has hosted bridges of honor, solstice parties, and even quartermaster bridges of honor for Ship 110 when Nichols Church in Trumbull was not available.
Six of our scouts, former scouts, or adult leaders have gone to this school and one even works there full time and two have subbed there.
Ship 110 would like to express our gratitude to ECDS for their hospitality in allowing us to use their facilities.
