Google used to do that with 'Google Now'...so I didn't have to do that manually...but now I have specifically ask assistant to save it or mark it on map..Why can't Google have this useful feature on automatic mode

I want to back up the photos on my Android phone. I therefore use the automatic upload feature in the Nextcloud app. However, I have now noticed that the destination folder is automatically synced by the app. I.e. I now have all the photos duplicated on my phone. Once in the camera folder and once in the sync folder of the Nextcloud app. How can I change this behavior. I would like to have the photos only in the camera folder.

I saw the thread you linked. But the solution links to Delete original file after auto upload doesn't work anymore / re-uploadingĀ  Issue #10885Ā  nextcloud/androidĀ  GitHub which seems to be a bug which occurs when moving a file:

When I take a picture I have to go into dropbox app in order for it to push my picture to dropbox. All my settings appear to be correct. It's been happening on my last 4 phones. I have pixel 10XL and latest android and app software. Thanks

I am trying to implement a single-line text view that will scroll automatically. But I unfortunatly cannot get it to work. The AutoScrollTextView is declared inside a LinearLayout (width and height = fill_parent). The class basically uses a Handler that calls itself to scroll by a given amount. I have simplified the code to only show a text view that should be scrolling by 5 pixels every second.

To this end, we first study the feasibility of automatic patch generation from 373 Android kernel CVEs ranging from 2012 to 2016. Then, we develop an automatic hot patch generation tool, named VULMET, which produces semantic preserving hot patches by learning from the official patches. The key idea of VULMET is to use the weakest precondition reasoning to transform the changes made by the official patches into the hot patch constraints. The experiments have shown that VULMET can generate correct hot patches for 55 real-world Android kernel CVEs. The hot patches do not affect the robustness of the kernels and have low performance overhead.

Thanks for the fast response.Newer versions of android 4.4+ I expect only allow readonly to the external SD storage. This in turn will not perform the initial sync so will wipe all data from all nodes.

With the SMS Retriever API, you can perform SMS-based user verification in yourAndroid app automatically, without requiring the user to manually typeverification codes, and without requiring any extra app permissions. When youimplement automatic SMS verification in your app, the verification flow lookslike this:

I have Spotify Connect playing on my home speakers via my android Samsung S9 and I connect put in my headset (maybe to receive or make a call), Spotify automatically switches from Connect to the device and starts playing on my headphones.

Different phone models, handle the auto-resume of music when devices are connected (either via Bluetooth, or aux) differently and a lot of it is based on the individual firmware (ROM) of said device. The best way to guarantee your device doesn't switch to music playback from Spotify is to ensure that Spotify is completely closed and isn't loaded in the background. If music starts automatically even when Spotify has been closed completely, let us know and we'll see what we can suggest.

Hope you find this useful. Keep us posted if you have any questions.

I have the same specific problem. I am running Spotify on a Mac, which then uses Airfoil to distribute the music throughout the house, and I often use Spotify Connect on my iPhone to control the music remotely. Often, when I put my AirPods in to make a phone call, or for some other purpose on my iPhone the music automatically switches to my headphones. This *only* happens with Spotify.

I feel that there should be a more elegant solution. Perhaps a user interface upgrade where there is an option or prompt to allow the user to have control over whether or not the music transfers to the phone automatically.

Updates for these components happen automatically by default. However, you can update them manually as well. When you are applying updates manually, they can be applied immediately or scheduled to be updated on a future date and time that you set.

Only software versions that have been tested by Microsoft are available for automatic or manual updates using Teams admin center. Software versions tested by Microsoft are labeled Verified by Microsoft.

Additionally, earlier versions of the software may also be made available and will be labeled as Microsoft Preview. Devices can be manually updated to Microsoft Preview versions that are released, and those devices running on these versions will also be eligible for receiving automatic updates in future.

Firmware versions that haven't been tested by Microsoft are labeled Unknown version. Devices running an unknown firmware version can't be automatically updated. These devices can only be updated manually.

Assigning devices to an automatic update phase is a Teams Rooms Pro feature for Teams Rooms on Android devices. Devices with a Teams Rooms Basic license will be assigned to the General phase. Any preconfigured phases will be maintained, and no further changes will be allowed. For more information, see Microsoft Teams Rooms licenses.

Some devices don't support automatic updates yet. Applying automatic update settings on devices that don't support automatic updates won't have any effect on those devices. For questions about whether your device will support automatic updates, contact your device manufacturer.

The Teams app updates for paired Microsoft Teams Rooms running Android and their paired touch consoles will happen in sync to ensure a streamlined experience. This is applicable for both automatic and manual updates.

For automatic updates - Automatic updates for Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android and their paired consoles will also happen in sync. Automatic updates rollout according to the timeline dictated by the Update phases. Touch consoles will be updated according to the update phase of their paired Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android. There will be no impact if both devices are in the same phase. If they are in different phases, the MTRoA phase will take precedence.

Which software components are automatically updated? Both Firmware and Teams app are automatically updated for eligible devices. Automatic updates for Teams app is a feature still in early phase, therefore you might see some delays in device reaching the update phase. The gradual roll out of the feature is being done to ensure minimal impact on devices.

I see that the updates are happening but they are failing. What do I do? Sometimes the updates can fail due to transient conditions. In such cases, no intervention is required. Updates will be automatically retried on the devices. If updates are consistently failing across your inventory, you can check a few things:

When do automatic updates happen? The updates are scheduled to happen over weekends outside of typical business hours to minimize impact. If the device is offline at that time, the updates will get executed when the device comes back online the next time.

When the phone comes near the car with bluetooth enabled, the car assumes, you want to use android auto. So even if your wife has her phone paired for android auto, and you are driving it, it will access her phone. Even if she is in the living room and you are in the garage.

Intrusivie.

That has not been my experience. Once a phone is paired for android auto, the car always wants to continue to pair. Very annoying to want AA for a trip via google maps, but then have the car nag your every time the phone is in the car. There is no "turn off AA" on the phone. You can unpair it in the vehicle, but not on the phone. To me the phone should be in charge, not the car.

Yes the car just provides an interface and display, but it is the INSISTENCE of always using it rather than being easily able to enable/disable via the phone.

I don't think Android has that option...Don't see it on my Galaxy S21. I had a similar issue w/my wife's car which would pair automatically w/both my wife and my phones when we got into her car. We really wanted hers to be the primary in her car, but mine always joined first for some reason. Removed and re-added mine and the same. So just removed it and don't use BT in her car.

The information provided for the Auto VPN feature states " VPN will automatically turn on for risky wifi networks and turn off for secure wifi networks " So it sounds like it is working correctly on your device.

If you configured device settings for a profile, then the settings can be applied automatically on the device without user action. If two or more values have been configured for the same category on a device, then the user must select a category and apply the settings manually, except for Wi-Fi settings. However, the bookmark settings cannot be applied automatically if the Installation area field is set to Shortcut.

Yeah, I've been with Pandora since it's Beta in 2005. Been paying for it since 2010. I don't know where the breakdown is, but it's across multie android devices. Eyeballing the effort to try other options...
