Sean Sullivan Counselling

Hi I’m Sean,

Welcome to my website.

I am an experienced BACP registered Person-Centred counsellor. If you are troubled by anger, substance abuse, anxiety, stress, depression, grief, loss, relationship issues, or are struggling to find meaning in your life, please contact me on 07896947243.

I am available throughout the week and am flexible if you need evening or weekend counselling. I am next to Preston Park railway station in Brighton.

I charge £45 per session and offer concessions. Introductory sessions are £20 so you can decide if it works for you. I can offer you short or long term counselling, whatever feels best for you. I generally see clients once a week, for 50 minute sessions.

I am also a qualified drug and alcohol counsellor and can integrate focusing and mindfulness if this is comfortable for you. I am experienced in counselling carers of people with complex needs.

If you are coming to counselling for the first time…

In your first session I would like to hear about you and your life and the significant problems that bring you to counselling. This will help me understand your presenting issues before we can explore any deeper troubles.

I want you to feel comfortable and feel safe enough to gain as much as possible from counselling, so please feel free to ask any questions about the process.

I encourage you to be honest and open about your feelings, thoughts and experiences, as well as what does and doesn’t work for you in the sessions. The more you share the more you will learn from any insights from your experiences.

Person-Centred counselling isn’t a quick fix for your problems, instead it’s more of a process where we will co-create a trusting relationship which will help you to understand your experience, explore how you relate to yourself and others, and learn useful ways to develop resilience to resolve your problems.
