1. Curriculum

ACC Annex Junior High School use The MATATAG Curriculum, has been implemented for the 2025/2026 academic year, specifically targeting Kindergarten through Grade 10 to refine the K-12 program. This curriculum focuses on streamlining learning competencies by prioritizing fundamental skills such as literacy, numeracy, and values education. By reducing the volume of subjects, it allows for a deeper mastery of essential concepts rather than a broad but shallow understanding of various topics. Furthermore, as of 2026, the system has transitioned toward more descriptive assessment methods in the early grades, effectively reducing academic pressure and fostering a more holistic development environment for students.

2.     Teaching Plan Related to Your Major

I have independently developed my lesson plans with significant support from my teaching buddies and my cooperating teacher—Archelyn, Myra, and Ma’am Marifel. They have provided a variety of relevant and useful references to enhance the development of my planned instructional materials. Furthermore, I regularly consult with Ma’am Marifel, accompanied by my two buddies, to ensure that my teaching quality and alignment are consistent with the current curriculum. Ma’am Marifel’s feedback and support have been invaluable in enhancing my professional competence as a pre-service teacher.  

3.     Others

In my instructional planning, I leverage technology to enhance the teaching and learning process. One of the methods I implement is utilizing PowerPoint (PPT) presentations displayed on a television screen. The use of PPT allows me to present material in a more visual and engaging manner, which helps students grasp concepts more effectively.

Furthermore, the large television display ensures that all students can easily see and follow the content, whether it consists of images, graphics, or text. I also utilize instructional materials to ensure students achieve a much deeper understanding of the ongoing lesson. Consequently, this integration of technology not only enriches the learning experience but also encourages students to participate actively in classroom activities.
