Journey to College Panel November 6, 2022

A panel of hardworking college students pursuing a variety of majors spoke on their experiences, in order to aid high schoolers with the process of college applications and effectively building their resume. They provided insight, advice, and answers to questions held by curious students and parents who attended.

Teen Wellness Workshop

We had 3 guest speakers for this webinar: A child psychiatrist, a student from UCSD, and a psychotherapist/social worker all spoke regarding the topics of body disorders, mental health conditions, and how to see the light admist the darkness in these situations. 

Teen Relationships Webinar 

October 18, 2020

Jani Sepanik, our guest speaker, spoke about how to manage teen relationships. She also spoke about many different ways to prevent abuse from occurring.

Virtual Academic Success Panel

We had 3 college students, along with one independent education consultant to provide advice and information on college prep and the ins and outs of college life!

Team Bonding Events:

• SD Nari Sakhi, Saheli aur Sargam - January 26, 2020

This event was a fun way for all of the SDNYC members to bond with music, shopping, dancing, and food! This was an extremely memorable event for all of the girls and SD Nari women to dress up and bond with one another. e

• Feeding San Diego - February 22, 2020

This event was for the committee members to bond and help give food to the homeless. We sorted and packed apples and pears. All of our committee members had a great time working together.
