Why ETSIME-UPM?
The current School is the heir to the one founded in Almadén in 1777 by order of Charles III.
Our students are the protagonists of the location, extraction, production, transportation and commercialization of mineral and energy resources, both conventional, non-conventional and renewable.
To facilitate job placement, there is a Sub-directorate that manages a wide and diverse range of Company Internships, as well as Chairs with leading companies in related sectors.
It has classrooms and laboratories specialising in construction materials, geophysics, geotechnics, mining safety, climate change, numerical modelling, petrochemistry, mineralogy, gemology, electrotechnics and hydrocarbons.
International relations are a hallmark of our School, promoting teaching and research exchanges, as well as double degrees.
ETSIME-UPM has student associations that cover all kinds of activities: sports, music, theatre, technology, cinema and much more.
The School is located in the Campus Centro of Madrid (C/Ríos Rosas, 21. 28003). You will also have a student residence next to the School and you will be able to enjoy a university life full of complementary activities.
