PLAGIARISM POLICY

Plagiarism refers to a process of presenting other people‘s work as your own without referencing it. The Academy takes a stern view of plagiarism and students may be subject to disciplinary action.

The following acts will be classified as plagiarism:

  • Copying and submitting another person’s work, in part or in whole as your own.

  • Allowing someone else to copy your work and submit it as their own.

  • Paraphrasing from books or other publications without acknowledging the source.

  • Getting someone to produce the work on your behalf and submitting it as though it is your work.

  • Writing and submitting works on behalf of others.


You are expected to properly acknowledge the author or the original source when completing assignments using the APA Style of Referencing.


Offence during student’s candidature within the modular certificate


Student will be given a zero mark for his/her project/assignment and may fail the entire modular certificate. He/She may not be allowed to enroll in modular certificate(s) of the same programme within the period stipulated by the Disciplinary Board.
