"SDI is a broad term that specifies the type of instruction students with disabilities should receive. SDI is created by changing instructional content, methods, or delivery to meet the student’s unique needs as a result of a disability. SDI should support students with disabilities’ access to the general curriculum while meeting the goals and objectives outlined within individualized education programs. Thus, SDI is the product of identifying the goals and objectives of intervention and, by definition, is individualized and will look different for students with different strengths, needs, and abilities."
