Seventh-day Adventists accept the Bible as their only creed and hold certain fundamental beliefs to be the teaching of the Holy Scriptures. These beliefs, as set forth here, constitute the church’s understanding and expression of the teaching of Scripture, providing an overall picture of what this Christian denomination collectively believes and practices.

Seventh-day Adventists Believe

Seventh-day Adventists Believe has become a classic book, counting more than half a million copies since its first publishing (1988). Updated several times, it is an extremely useful volume that points to the Christ-centered nature and the biblical foundation of our fundamental doctrines and teachings.

No other single volume has defined the fundamental beliefs so clearly, so simply, and so Christ-centeredly. It is a tool for Seventh-day Adventists to understand their beliefs, and a witness to non–Seventh-day Adventists to appreciate what we as a church believe and teach.

A Study Guide of Bible Principles

For some time, many members and pastors have expressed a need for a study guide—to help in personal study of this volume, and also to be used as a group study tool. As a result, the General Conference Ministerial Association developed the material entitled We Believe - A Study Guide of Bible Principles.

Each lesson in this guide has stories to illustrate a point, a preface, some important points, the chapter of SDA Believe in the form of questions or statements, a few important words introduced, differences between words or concepts, a personal checklist, and a closing prayer.
