Caucuses called to order at 7:00pm
What is a caucus?
A caucus is a gathering of neighbors to discuss issues, build community, and organize the local DFL party unit. All major parties in Minnesota hold their caucuses on the same night.
What happens at a caucus?
At your precinct caucus, participants elect delegates and alternates to the Senate District Convention and consider resolutions that help shape the DFL Party platform. The Minnesota DFL has a webpage explaining the process of caucuses and conventions.

Resolutions and the Party Platform
One of the key activities at your precinct caucus is considering resolutions that help shape and update the DFL Party Platform. Resolutions allow grassroots members to raise issues they care about, from local concerns to statewide and national priorities. You may submit a resolution by filling out a DFL resolution form and bringing it with you on Caucus Night; blank forms will also be available at the caucus location. Resolutions adopted at the precinct level advance to the Senate District Convention and may continue on to higher level conventions.
Can’t attend in person?
If you want to participate in your local DFL precinct caucus but cannot attend in person on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, you still have options:
• You may fill out a non-attendee caucus form and have someone deliver it on caucus night, or
• You may send the form or an email containing all required information to the chair of your local DFL organizing unit any time between Thursday, January 1, 2026 and Saturday, January 31, 2026.
For Senate District 65, the organizing unit chair can be reached at sd65dfl@gmail.com.
