CORE VALUES
We offer bespoke training courses, all designed with our core values at the heart of everything we do.
Our mission is to ensure health and social care can offer the best level of care. We believe this can only be achieved by staff receiving the skills and knowledge required to deliver care in a person-centred way and of the highest quality.
We understand that each person has their own identity, needs, wishes, choices, beliefs and values. We acknowledge that ‘One size fits all’ does not work when it comes to providing care and support. Therefore all of our training is bespoke to your service.
It is only possible to promote an individual’s independence by empowering them to make choices and to look at what they can do for themselves. With this in mind, all of our training looks at ways in which your staff can promote independence.
Everyone has a right to Privacy. Privacy affects how and where care is given. Treating somebody in a dignified way means treating someone with respect and valuing their individuality. We will always complete a TNA to ensure we meet everyone's needs.
A successful partnership is based on good communication and trust. By working closely with you and the wider team, the training you receive will always be up-to-date with not just local and national guidelines but also your own policies and procedures.
The rights of people in the UK are set out by The Human Rights Act 1998. Respecting someone means believing and showing that they have importance as an individual. This is why all of the training we provide is centred around everyone's rights.
Under the Equality Act 2010, there are 9 Protected characteristics. although we must protect these personal characteristics at SD Training, We think about each participant and how they best learn to ensure every attendee gets the most out of each session.
At SD Training, we pride ourselves on providing the highest quality of training so you can provide the best quality of care.
As a family-run company with over 25 years of healthcare experience, we ensure every course we run is educational, putting the people we support in the centre of the training and fully engaging the participants (no death by PowerPoint here), with a little bit of fun along the way.
All of our courses are in line with the Skills for Health and Skills for Care core framework.
Our training team have worked in all types of Healthcare settings, from Domiciliary Care to High Secure Services and everything in between, as well as working alongside CQC inspectors, so you can rest assured you are getting the best service possible.
