About VIP Day

What is Very Important Person’s (VIP) Day?

Very Important Person’s (VIP) Day is an event to celebrate the village of people that support our SC students and families by inviting our students to bring a person(s) of importance to visit them during their school day. St. Cecilia first celebrated this day as Grandparent’s Day in 2019, and then again in 2020. This event was paused during the pandemic and we are delighted to fully bring it back this year and once again welcome these “Very Important People” back to our school.

Why do we celebrate VIP Day at St. Cecilia’s School?

Our school’s focus is to develop our student’s faith, strengthen their family, and prepare them for their future. WIth this at the heart of who we are and what we aspire to at St. Cecilia School, we set aside a special day and event to welcome our extended family to our school. This is an opportunity to thank them for being an important part of shaping our students and enhancing our school community.

Who can attend VIP Day?

Non parents that are of significance in your students life, such as a grandparent, aunt, uncle, friend, neighbor. Non-student children are not permitted to attend.

How many guests can each student invite to VIP Day?

Each student is encouraged to invite a guest and we recommend limiting your guests to no more than 4 guests per family to best accommodate the movement throughout the school and capacity in each classroom. We expect that some guests will visit multiple students.

When is VIP Day?

Friday, January 30th, 2026

What will your guests be doing when they attend?

Guests will be welcomed through the school yard into the St. Cecilia Pavillon (gym) to register and then enjoy a brief reception with refreshments and lite snacks. They will enjoy a brief presentation by the school and select students. Following the presentation the guests will be invited to walk over to the school building where they can visit their student(s) in their classrooms. Following their visits they are welcome to mingle in the Pavillon where they can purchase SC spirit merchandise, visit with other guests and friends, and enjoy refreshments. The students will have an early release and will be dismissed by 12:30pm.

Registration & Participation Details

How do I register a guest(s) to attend VIP Day?

Parents are asked to complete the registration form for their guest(s) by December 13th, 2025.

Can I register multiple guests?

Each student is encouraged to invite a guest and we recommend limiting your guests to no more than 4 guests per family to best accommodate the movement throughout the school and capacity in each classroom. We expect that some guests will visit multiple students.

Can I have different guests visit different students?

Yes, please share which student your guest will be visiting when you complete the registration form. NOTE: Please register each guest separately so that we can ensure we have an accurate count of total guests (i.e. Aunt Sally and Uncle Joe are both visiting student Henry. You will submit two registrations in total - 1 for Aunt Sally noting she is visiting student Henry and 2 for Uncle Joe noting he is visiting student Henry).

Do I have to accompany my student’s guest at VIP Day?

No, this event is for your students and their special guests and is not for parents. There will be parent volunteers guiding our guests to find the classrooms and around the campus.

Please note: If you feel your guest needs a personal guide to accompany them throughout the event and/or up and down the stairs in the building please consider if this is the best event for them to attend. We are expecting at least a couple hundred guests to attend.

Do you have a “save the date” I can send to my guest in advance of the email invitation?

Yes! Below is a simple “save the date” image that you can share with your special guest via email or text. All registered guests with a provided email address will receive an email about a week before the event with details about arrival, parking, and what to expect from the day.
