CONGRATULATIONS TO SCSNA 2026
Scholarship recipients
My name is Alejandro Karako and I am a part time senior at Bridgewater Raritan High School & Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School. I work as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Bridgeway Rehabilitation and a lifeguard at LifeTime Fitness, YMCA, and the JCC. I also volunteer at Hackensack Meridian Health JFK Hospital along with being a volunteer EMT at Whitehouse Rescue Station and Bradley Gardens Rescue Squad. I am attending University of Tampa in the fall, majoring in nursing and management.
Olivia Nejmeh will be attending the Henry P. Becton College of Nursing and Allied Health at Fairleigh Dickinson University for the Fall 2026 semester, with aspirations to become a nurse practitioner. Her passion for healthcare was nurtured by her grandmother, a dedicated school nurse. To prepare for her career, Olivia enrolled in a program that allowed her to earn an associate degree concurrently with her high school diploma. She values the flexibility of nursing and the opportunities it provides to explore various specializations. For Olivia, nursing offers the perfect blend of personal interest, scientific intrigue, public service, and human connection. She is excited to learn, grow, and make a meaningful difference in the field.
