Katherine Mi is a recent graduate of Ridge High School, where she was actively involved in a variety of clubs and organizations and served as Co-Cadet Captain of the Berkeley Heights Volunteer Rescue Squad. She is honored to be this year’s recipient of the SCSNA Scholarship. This fall, Katherine will attend the University of Pennsylvania as a dual-degree student in the coordinated Nursing and Healthcare Management (NHCM) program.
Tatiana Mia Murillo
Tatiana Mya Murillo is a proud Colombian, senior from North Plainfield and a full-time student at Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School in the Health Occupations program. She has volunteered at Alzheimer’s walks, senior center health screenings, and is currently enrolled in night school for Phlebotomy, having already passed her final and preparing for the national certification exam. Tatiana recently began working as a bank teller while continuing to build her healthcare experience. After graduation, she will attend Rutgers University to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Her goal is to become a compassionate and skilled nurse who makes every patient feel heard, advocated for, and cared for with love.
