The Scroll of Illumination
1. Before time had formed, there was a vast and endless emptiness.
2. From this emptiness, the eternal Holy Light was present, pure and radiant, stretching forth its arms to encompass all of creation.
3. And from this unfathomable emptiness, a spark was born, a single point of pure radiance untouched by any shadow.
4. This spark grew, radiating outwards, and from it came forth the Holy Light—brighter than the dawn, more brilliant than a thousand suns, yet soft and tender, as though it sought to embrace all that it touched.
5. The Light spoke, and its voice was like the thunder of a thousand storms, yet gentle as the morning dew: “Let there be illumination, and with it, understanding.”
6. And so it was that the Light divided the darkness, and the realms of the heavens and the earth were formed.
7. The Light did shine upon all things, revealing truth and purpose.
8. The Light stretched forth across the vast emptiness, and where its rays fell, the emptiness was no longer.
9. The Light illuminated what was hidden and gave shape to what had no form.
10. And the Light moved across the expanse, touching the farthest reaches of the infinite.
11. From the Light, the heavens were born, stretching high above, vast and eternal, filled with the stars, the moon, and the celestial bodies that would guide all who would walk beneath them.
12. And the Earth was formed—a realm to receive the Light’s blessing.
13. The Light brought forth its touch upon the waters and on the land.
14. The Light caused the mountains to rise, the seas to stretch, and the forests to take root.
15. The Earth, once silent and still, began to pulse with life, as if it too had been reborn into the Light.
16. The Light spoke again, shaping time as it had shaped space, giving rhythm and order to the movement of the universe.
17. From the Light, the days were numbered, and the seasons took their course.
18. The Light did not create the world in haste, but with purpose, for the Light knew that all things must be woven together in harmony.
19. Each ray of the Holy Light touched not only the material world, but the very essence of being, filling all with the potential to grow, to evolve, and to become.
20. And so the Light embraced the earth, and it was good.
21. The trees flourished in the Light’s warmth; the rivers sparkled in its brilliance; the creatures of the land and sea danced beneath its gaze.
22. Yet, the Light did not rest, the Light had one more act to perform.
23. The Light gazed upon the world and saw that it was beautiful, but there was something missing—a creature with the capacity for understanding, a being who would walk in the Light, who would see its truth, and who would be entrusted with the stewardship of the earth.
24. And so, the Light, in its infinite wisdom and compassion, spoke once more: “Let us create humans, and let them bear the Light within them.”
25. And so, the first people were formed from the very substance of the Light itself, molded by the hands of the Holy Light, in the shape of love, grace, and wisdom.
26. And they were called Lumen, for they were born of the Light and would walk as its children.
27. The Lumen were given vision, not only to behold the world but to perceive the deeper truths that lay beneath the surface.
28. Their eyes were mirrors, reflecting the radiant Light within and casting it on the world around them.
29. In their hearts, the Light dwelled, and they became the keepers of its flame.
30. The Light blessed the Lumen with the sacred gift of choice.
31. They were not slaves to its radiance but bearers of it.
32. And with their free will, they could choose to walk in the Light, or turn their backs on it.
33. The Light would never force the Lumen to follow, but would always be present, waiting, offering guidance and love.
34. The Light charged the Lumen with a sacred purpose: to be stewards of this world.
35. The Lumen were charged to protect this world, to cherish it, and in their stewardship they would know the fullness of joy and peace.
36. And the Lumen, seeing the world in all its wonder, bowed before the Light in reverence, knowing that they had been entrusted with a great and holy task.
37. The Lumen would walk in the Light, and through it, they would see the world as it truly was—whole, connected, and perfect in its design.
38. And as the Lumen looked upon the world with eyes full of wonder, the Light made a promise.
39. You shall never be alone.
40. The Light will walk with you, within you, and through you.
41. As long as you seek the Light, you shall never falter, for the Light will be your guide.
42. And so it was that the Holy Light became the foundation of all creation, a perfect radiance, whose essence would never fade, whose presence would never leave.
43. The Light illuminated the world and all that it contained, revealing its beauty, its truth, and its purpose.
44. And the Lumen, seeing the world as it was meant to be, vowed to carry the Light in their hearts, to spread its warmth and brilliance across the earth, so that all creatures, and all things, might share in its divine radiance.
45. And the days of creation came to a close, and the Light saw goodness, for in the Light, there was no darkness, no confusion, and no fear.
46. In the Light, there is only clarity, truth, and peace.
Amen.
