The Department of Natural Sciences of Pitzer and Scripps Colleges is currently in its final year of a three-year transition from being the 3-college Keck Science Department. With our conversion to a two-college program, we will be adding additional tenure-line faculty to our department. 

The Scripps-Pitzer Science Department in the process of hiring two new tenure-track colleagues to join our department in the Fall of 2024. We hope this website will help you learn more about our outstanding program.

The Scripps-Pitzer Science Department will continue to build on the strengths of the former Keck Science Department while developing new initiatives that promote the missions of our two sponsoring colleges. In addition to being a two-college partnership, our department is an interdisciplinary collaboration between faculty in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Analysis, Neuroscience and Physics. We offer traditional majors in each of these fields along with many additional interdisciplinary majors. Students are key members of our department. In addition to taking classes and doing research with us they serve as peer mentors, lab TAs, tutors, and DEI interns.
