Screen printing is one of the most flexible printing processes, and it can be used to print a variety of substrates, consisting of paper, board, plastics, vinyl, glass, metal, textiles, and lots of other materials.
The screen printing process includes 3 aspects: the screen which is the image provider, the squeegee and ink. The procedure uses a porous mesh securely extended and glued onto a metal frame. A stencil is produced on the screen either manually or photo chemically.
Screen printing ink is applied to the substrate by placing the screen over the material. Ink is placed onto screen and then forced through the great mesh openings using a squeegee that is drawn across the screen, applying pressure thus requiring the ink through the open locations of the screen. Ink will go through just in locations where the stencil is open, therefore forming an image on the substrate.
