Screen printing is among the most flexible printing processes, and it can be used to print a wide range of substrates, including paper, board, plastics, vinyl, glass, metal, textiles, and many other materials.
The screen printing process includes 3 elements: the screen which is the image provider, the squeegee and ink. The procedure uses a permeable mesh tightly stretched and glued onto a metal frame. A stencil is produced on the screen either manually or photo chemically.
Screen printing ink is applied to the substrate by positioning the screen over the product. Ink is put onto screen and after that forced through the fine mesh openings using a squeegee that is drawn throughout the screen, using pressure therefore forcing the ink through the open areas of the screen. Ink will go through only in areas where the stencil is open, hence forming an image on the substrate.
