SCRC is more than just a place to fly model airplanes. It is seen by our members as a scenic, enjoyable location where enthusiasts can gather not only to fly, but also to connect socially, exchange technical knowledge, train new pilots, and enjoy camaraderie and fellowship. Members come together in a welcoming environment that fosters safety, support, and shared enjoyment of this wonderful hobby. We kindly remind all members to prioritize safety at all times and to maintain a friendly, cooperative, courteous, and positive attitude toward fellow members, neighboring landowners, the public, and visitors to the field.
Fly With Confidence On You First Flights With A SCRC INSTRUCTOR
Buddy boxing, or buddy box, is a training system that connects two RC aircraft radio systems so an experienced pilot can teach a beginner pilot how to fly. The master transmitter is the one that flies the plane, while the student transmitter is the "dummy" remote control of the master. The instructor has one transmitter, and the student has the other, which can be connected via cable or wireless. The instructor gives the student control of the aircraft via a switch (or button) on most transmitters. At the same time, the instructor can regain control by pressing the switch.
